March 2023

• 31 March 2023: Our works have been completed and the temporary traffic lights on the B2149 between Horndean and Rowlands Castle have been removed. We're very sorry for any inconvenience and disruption this might have caused.

• 27 March 2023: A big thank you to everyone who took part in our recent consultation on our new proposals for a pipeline running from Bedhampton to Havant Thicket Reservoir.
• 23 March 2023: Please be aware that the traffic lights on the B2149 between Horndean and Rowlands Castle will now be in place until Wednesday 29th March.
• 15 March 2023: Portsmouth Water secures £325 million investment to construct major new reservoir.

February 2023

• 22 February 2023: Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place from Thursday 9 March 2023 to Wednesday 22 March 2023 on the B2149 between Rowlands Castle and Horndean. The lights are required as we need to close part of the northbound carriageway, while we install the new turn off / junction for the Northern Access Route for Havant Thicket Reservoir.
• 20 February 2023: In a major step forward, we have appointed Future Water MJJV Limited to build Havant Thicket Reservoir - the first large-scale new water storage reservoir in the UK since the 1980s.
• 16 February 2023: A reminder that we're holding two public drop-in sessions soon, as part of our consultation on the proposed new route and design for the new pipeline we need to build for the Havant Thicket Reservoir scheme.
• 9 February 2023: We’re carrying out a public consultation, until 22nd March 2023, on a proposed new route for the pipeline we need to build - to transport water from Bedhampton Springs to Havant Thicket Reservoir, as well as take water out for supply to customers, when needed.

January 2023

• 17 January 2023: Protecting and enhancing the environment is central to the Havant Thicket Reservoir. project. Watch our new video to see how ecologists have been carefully moving macro-invertebrates (such as water beetles) from the reservoir site to nearby Southleigh Forest.
