September 2024
- 13 September 2024: Ground has officially been broken on the UK’s first new reservoir to be constructed in over 30 years – the Havant Thicket Reservoir.
- 4 September 2024: Daisy is the latest addition to the herd at our local rewilding project.
April 2024
- 25 April 2024: Did you know? We’re restoring Southleigh Forest – a local woodland near to Rowlands Castle.
- 10 April 2024: Volunteers replant hundreds of young trees as part of Havant Thicket Reservoir project
March 2024
- 19 March 2024: You’ve heard the words “recycled water” – but do you know what they mean?
- 13 March 2024: As part of work to improve the quality of Havant Thicket woodland, staff volunteers got busy planting new trees including native broadleaves such as oak, hornbeam and cherry.
- 7 March 2024: Did you know? Under current plans, Havant Thicket Reservoir in Havant will supply up to 21 million litres of water per day, when needed.
February 2024
- 20 February 2024: Did you know? There are only 200 chalk rivers in the whole world, and 80 per cent of those are in southern and eastern England.
November 2023
- 27 November 2023: We’re always looking for ways to reduce disruption That’s why we’ve built a new access road onto the Havant Thicket Reservoir site to keep traffic away from local people.
- 21 November 2023: Future-proofing. We all do it. Like leaving five minutes early in case there’s traffic. It just makes sense. And as your water supply company, that’s how we work too. To future-proof our infrastructure, we’re planning to install not one, but two pipelines, between the Bedhampton Springs and Havant Thicket Reservoir.
- 15 November 2023: The bridleway running east / west across the Havant Thicket Reservoir site will be closing on Thursday 16th November. The alternative route will run to the north of the reservoir site, through Havant Thicket woodland.
- 8 November 2023: We’re consulting on new pipelines between the Bedhampton springs and Havant Thicket Reservoir.
September 2023
- 29 September 2023: Did you know? As part of our Havant Thicket Reservoir project, we’ve committed to planting and improving more than 200 hectares of woodland and wood pasture! This includes a fantastic new project to rewild 80 hectares of local farmland – that’s the equivalent of 112 football pitches.

- 4 September 2023: As part of the Havant Thicket Reservoir project, we’ve committed to improving Southleigh Forest – a local woodland close to Rowlands Castle. This is just one small part of our much wider programme of environmental works, which involves planting and improving more than 200 hectares of woodland and wood pasture locally!
